What kind of Laser do you have?
We have the Candela Gentlemax Pro Plus which is a gold standard for Laser Hair removal. It is a dual wavelength laser that combines Alexandrite and Yag laser.

How does the Laser work?
The Laser works by directing concentrated light to target the hair follicle at the root. The laser inhibits the hair’s ability to grow without disrupting or damaging the skin’s surface, so even sensitive skin can be treated. 

Does the laser treat all skin & hair types?
The laser is looking for the pigment in the hair, so the darker the hair, the better. The laser is not effective on blonde, red, light gray or white hair. 

Is the hair removal permanent?
Unlike other hair removal options, our medical-grade Candela Laser technology means safe, cost-effective, and permanent hair reduction. Dormant hair follicles could surface requiring touch up treatments in the future. 

Do the laser treatments hurt?
Some clients describe it as a snapping of a rubber band to the skin. This discomfort however resolves quickly and is minimized by the DCD (cooling device) which delivers cold air over the treatment area. 

Are there any side effects?
Side effects are rare and may include redness, swelling, hyper/hypo pigmentation, blistering in the treated area but usually do not last more than a few days. 

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments is determined on an individual basis; however, most clients need an average of 8-10 treatments, providing up to 90-95% hair reduction. 

How close together are treatments recommended?
This may differ by area but generally every 4-6 weeks. It is important to try to stay on the schedule to treat the dormant follicles as they surface, for the best results. 

Is laser hair removal right for me?
We cannot treat: pregnant, active tan, active skin infections, those with implanted medical devices, light-triggered seizures, those who have used Accutane in the past year, over any tattoos, or if you are taking photosynthesizing medications or medications that can intensify bleeding/bruising. 

How do I prepare for treatments?
Area should be clean-shaven and thoroughly cleansed removing any makeup, creams, oils, or self-tanning products. Clients should avoid plucking, waxing or electrolysis 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Do not expose skin to sunlight or tanning bed at least 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after treatments. Always wear a good sunscreen. Active tanned skin cannot be treated with the laser. You can shave! In fact, we want you to shave the day before or day-of your treatment.

What can I expect after treatment?
Clients can resume daily activities immediately following treatment. Any redness or swelling should resolve within a few hours. A cool compress or aloe vera may be applied for comfort following treatment if desired. 

What is the cost of laser treatments?

We offer in-house blood draws through our partnership with Access Medical Labs. When your provider recommends lab work—whether it’s checking vitamin levels, thyroid health, hormones, autoimmune markers, or a general wellness panel—you can get it done right here in the clinic.

Lab draws can be scheduled during business hours or completed at the time of your appointment. Some tests may require fasting, so check with your provider ahead of time.
